New bumper
I just got done building my dad a winch bumper for his 82 K5 Made it out of scrap we had laying around the shop. Its all 1/4" plate and the winch is mounted to a pice of 8" channel Took me about 12 hrs from start to finish. With the winch it weighs well under 200lbs, the wihcn is rated at 7500lbs and I welded on D rings that are rated at 15,000lbs. I mounted it using the factory holes in the frame, tommrow im starting another identical bumper for one of his buddies. If anybody wants more info let me know.

Re: New bumper
I like your bumper, but what I did is weld in a hitch to the front frame so that I could, at my leisure put the winch, which is heavily bolted to a plate welded to the hitch on when necessary......This gives me the ability to use the factory bumper for looks.....I know it's the wrong bumper....but you get the idea......
