They ARE dumb, but at least you can peel them off when you realize what you've done...

Re: Best day of my life....
Personally it makes me sick. Neat old cars are just getting too hard to find as it is. And then you fill it full of bullet holes. You can build a Rat (piece of crap) Rod without having to do that. When the fad wears off it would have been a bunch less work for the next owner to take care of.
Now that Ive whined about it...Its not my car, he can do whatever he wants to it. |

The main fact is it has survied in one piece for all of these years. It is a waste to not keep it that way. My Dad took me to see the Grey 1934 Ford sedan that Bonnie and Clyde died in. I remember feeling sorry for the car even though it was a Ford. You need to watch this slide show for the real definition of a Rat Rod http://thefiftiesandsixties.com/CarsWeDrove.htm

Re: Best day of my life....
I think this is a GOTCHA post. A little creativity and typing and got everybody up in arms. No pics to be proud of, of course not. I'll punch him in his "grill." My idiot light doesn't mean someone else did something wrong.

Ha! If a friend of mine said to fill his truck full of lead, i'd even buy the rounds. Let me have a go at it.

Re: Best day of my life....
Define "rat rod"...Who said rat rods aren`t cool in any of those quotes?
Not everyone gets off on shooting things that shouldn`t be shot.

Re: Best day of my life....
Rat Rods are whatever YOU think it is...the definitions are all over the place..P.C should not come into play when building any car....thats not whats its about..What may be a rat rod or hot rod or anything to someone may not be that to someone else.....I would not have done it but..Its his car.........rare or not....HIS CAR .at least it was not crushed or sold for scrap....ANY thing could be fixed ...given skill, time, cashola

Re: Best day of my life....
Holy crap man, maybe we should just let this thread die... If i wanted to shoot holes in my house cause it looks cool to me, then I'd have to live with my decision and my neighbor's criticism. Rat rods are cool.

i agree rat rods are cool and i agree that if you find a car out in a field that was used as a get away car in a bank robbery and the cops shot at it or something. that is cool because it has a story behind it. but if you take a good car out into a field and shoot it 40+ time you are a real jacka$$ and need to pull your head out of your a$$ |
