? setting auto choke on edel. 1406
For winter operations,
When I set the auto choke on a 1406 with a cold truck, should the butterfly flap be all the way closed or a little open? thanks

barely open.
Check the edelbrock website, they have all of the docs there you need as far as setting everything up. I recently switched to a 1406 for the Electric Choke (and it was cheaper than a new quadrajet). Best move I have made with the truck thus far..

Re: ? setting auto choke on edel. 1406
looking at the diagram in the book for adjusting the 1406 choke piston linkage it doesnt quite look like my carb set up. i do not have a place to insert a wire at the choke piston? It does appear my linkage will need to be bent to open butterfly a little but i dont want to do it incorrectly.
