1986 k5 grille, need help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Alrighty guys, im preparing the grille for my 86 k5, and i want to know how the top of the grille mounts in, does it use those ltitle plasic threads, or does it have something else? my orignal has been destroyed (thanks tree) and so i cant remember how they mount up. I bought a new grille from goodmark, and i doubt i will ever again, but im making it work since it only costed me 30 bucks. Thanks guys.

its at the top of the grille where it mounts to the core support, any help is appreciated.

There should be some plastic inserts (similar to the inserts in the bumper for the license plate) on the grille side, and they are mounted with screws from the top of the radiator support.
