Re: Lets play "What dont Belong In This Pic"
Saw an 88-98 GMC early in the production run of this series that had "Like A Rock, With A Ford Block" painted (nicely, I might add) on the tailgate like it was a badge of honor, or something. Seems like it was an '89-90 that was running a 429, 460 or something like it.

Blaspemy....
Thats a 428 by the way. behind its a C6, and 2:90 gears or something. He cant even spin the tires, he has it set up to comfortably drive to shows.

Re: Lets play "What dont Belong In This Pic"
Guys, that is a Cummins 4bt. Someone swapped it into that pickup, probably from a Ford stepvan (assuming it has the adapter to the Ford tranny). Definitely cool.
Blazerman, what aux trans are you using, and how is it mounted? Divorced between tranny and tcase?

I'm also surprised on how good it starts, it was plugged in the first time I looked at it and 35 degrees. I havent bothered pluging it in since I got it home and it fired right up this morning at -1 and thats with a crappy old battery the guy threw in it to keep his new one. 1969 gmc The auxillary is a rebuilt U.S.Gear divorced unit on a tubular cradle, it will be behind a BOP cased th-475 and I will continue to use a 2 peice rear driveshaft.
