New pics of the shortbed
The shortbed moved out of the garage under it's own power today for the first time since November. It would have been able to move in and out under it's own power between now and then but the truck was all apart while I replaced cab corners, the floor, rockers, and did some work elsewhere.I still have some dents to fix which you can see but it's a solid truck now...I'm debating on putting on a cowl hood or not..The original is in primer and would be ready to go on but the cowl hoods look alot better.

Re: New pics of the shortbed
Looking good Dustin.
When you finish up come on down to GA and I'll let you help me on mine. In all seriousness though, watching your build, along with a few other 4x4 builds, has kept me motivated to continue working on "Patches". Keep up the good work and thanks for the help.

Re: New pics of the shortbed
Cleaned the garage while it was outside and pulled it back in so I can get the garage dirty again!I bought some new inner fenders for $55 a piece and hope to get them installed tomorrow. The thrush glasspacks hanging low aren't permanent.Eventually it will get the pipes ran above the t-case crossmember and it won't be as easily seen but I just stuck those on there for now...I will probably keep the glasspacks, they sound great on there but I'll for sure have to run the pipes above the transfer case crossmember and the pipes will exit behind the rear wheels.I was going to take a video of it and post it on youtube but didn't have time..
Shannon,I'll come down and help but I need to finish this,the 72 Blazer,the 69 K20,and swap the 454 into the 79 first..it may be a few years Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 01-29-2008 at 12:39 PM. |

Re: New pics of the shortbed
Looks like a great foundation for a solid 4x4, what color are you going to paint it?

Re: New pics of the shortbed
This truck is similar to what mine will look like except it has a 6" lift. The color in the pic is not what that actual truck looks like,I changed the color to make it look something like how mine will look.I don't know for sure what shade of blue I'm going with though.
