You have a major manufactorer of sheet metal parts in your backyard so to speak. Call Jon at Tri-Pro their parts are licensed by GM. Shipping is a lot closer than the left coast. I use his parts without issue, period

Just food for thought.

I can say that since joining this BB I will definately use the site vendors out of loyality over LMC. I absolutely dispise someone who sells something and is clueless about it, and on top of that disrespects the installer...us.

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

I have spent a ton with LMC.... If you do not have your part numbers dont call.. They sell the same repop stuff as others so you really can not blame them for fit and finish issues.. Their shipping is a little higher than most but their return policy is AWESOME... They never even want the damaged parts back... They sent me 3 tailgates before I received one that wasn't dented and never wanted the other two back... The ones I received were minor dings but when you buy new you do not want any damage.. Just had to hold them to show UPS if questioned then you can dispose of them... right into the rafters they went! Its nice though because you do not have to wait for them to receive your old part before shipping your new part...

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

They don,t just drop ship. They have a huge warehouse. Everything I have bought in the last 20 years from them has been in the warehouse. Their people aren,t knowledgeable about parts or the catalogs.

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

i've ordered a bunch of stuff from them. Fit and finish has been good. Quick shipping. I ordered a windshield wiper switch and it was DOA. They sent another and didn't want the other one back...

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

Back when I had my 64 I ordered a few items from them most were fine ( I knew I wasn't paying gold prices so I didn't expect show quality ) The windshield washer pump was wrong but fits my 70 and the door checks needed to be combined with my old ones to work properly but you gotta figure Long Motor Company sounds chinese to me ,if you want top parts go elsewhere if it's a driver use them.

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

I can just run over there to get parts since it's only a few miles from my house.

Word to the wise:
Do not ask anyone there about technical issues. Most are not truck people, they are simply employees who pull parts. Lately, they have had a new person behind the desk everytime I go there.

And their credit dept.....I had an issue with a credit, and it finally took me calling and screaming to get my money back.

As a previous posted mention, most parts houses get their parts from the same place, and unfortunately it's China.

Re: LMC? Anyone ever have issues?

Thanks, I'm not building a show truck by no means, but would like some nice original parts. The interior will be mostly stock looking parts with exception of the seats. I will tuck and roll them. That and a few minor exterior parts like chrome and grills. Other then that if the old original part is bad or rusted I'll make something of repair it.
