Sweeeeet! Nice looking truck. Being from TX you can work on it about 360 days per year. Touch up some of the grill paint and it will look like a show truck!

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
NICE! I always did like the 50th look.
You're running '68 plates on there too aren't you? Thats one of the few things I miss about Tx. Ohio won't do that for a daily driver. I have some 72 plates for the burb, but I can't run them untill I go with historical plates. |

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
You may have already done some of these things so bear with me.
Change the oil and filter Do the same for the transmission. Check brake fluid Change or refill rear-end oil grease all your zerks repack your bearings That's all I can think of right now. Do that and you should be golden for a while. 1992 was a long time ago and it's a good idea to replace and refresh. Like I said you may have already done this, I am just making suggestions. Well have fun and nice truck. |

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
it's better than a rusty spring poking you in the butt.
Tuck a small pipe... like a copper water pipe .. or even PCV (real cheap) down in the crack, and then with some yarn or something, string the edge of the top to the pipe, then the ende of the bottom to the pipe, then tie up the sides to the springs, and it'll look more like a seat cover instead of blanket. |

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
Nice to see someone driving that, I think it was on Craigslist a while back. I drive mine to work (21 miles) every Friday.
Nothing wrong with a long bed, every time I think I want a shorty, I have to actually load up and haul something. I agree with Andy on the pipe deal for your seat, it would look a lot better.

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
I have a pretty decent original style cheyenne seat cover you can have if you want it. It has a couple of small tears that could be easily fixed, and would be a lot better than sitting on a blanket.

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
Do you live in Southside off 8th Avenue a couple of blocks East possibly. I was trying to place you by the building in the background.
Very nich truck by the way. Also 69 plates are the cool black with white lettering that is the year the world fair was in San Antonio so they advertise the Hemisphere on it. I always wanted that year of plate.

Take it back looked at some other pictures of your truck and it is definitely North Side somewhere off Main right to the West.

So how did the first day of daily driver duty go? I hope it went well
I live over on the Westside now but I grew up in South Side.

Re: monday i start to daily drive my 68 50th...
That is beautiful. I read that it is all manual? Keep the big steering wheel, Anything smaller will cause you to sweat more than needed especially while parking. Roll on my Chevy friend.
