Installing trailing arm bushings ?question?

Can anyone tell me which direction the trailing arm bushings are installed? Should the shell "flange" face outward or inward? I attached a picture, but it does not show the shell. Maybe some one can take a quick peek and post a pic if possible. Thanks Mister E

Re: Installing trailing arm bushings ?question?

Greetings folks. I found the answer to my question. On the metal shells that go in the trailing arm hole, the lip on the shell faces the drivers side on BOTH trailing arms. I read first in another thread, then took some pics of my friends truck to confirm it.

You should put a warning sticker on there: "NOT A JACKING POINT"

Re: Installing trailing arm bushings ?question?

Can you change out the bushings without taking out the rearend? ie. can you just remove the bolt and drop the front of the trailing arm?

I got a question that goes along with this. What do you torque the bolts to on the bushings.
