1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
hey how its going? i have a 65 chevy swb big back window, 350 motor and trans. should i keep it or should i sale it. i have the hood and rear bumper and the windshield. if i keep it just not sure what direction i want to go with it. just lower it and make a lil hot rod out of it or bag it and make a kool lil cruizer out of it. i like both style. opinion and pics would help. thanks

Keep it and finish it. Grab a lawnchair and a six pack, sit back and look at the truck while downing a few cold one's and get a vision in your head and make it happen. Good luck with your decision.

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
only reason i ask about selling it , is i have alway had 50's model chevy cars but everybody has one now. ive always liked this body style but owning one now cant decide what to do with it.

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
I've had my share of 50's and 60's vehicles, now I'm stuck in the 70's. Change is good.........sometimes.

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
I would keep it! I have a 56 chevy 2 door HT and am doing my 63 truck instead. I like the truck much better even though the car is worth much more.

Too clean to let it go... besides once it drives away you'll regret it!

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
Keep it. My grandfather offered me one for free in excellent shape but i turned it down because I felt I had no place to keep it plus the x-wife frowned on the idea. I regret it. Anyway, keep it.

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
keep it! its to clean to sell. you have a soild start to whatever direction you chose to go. look at all the good ideas Zumo posted. i agree with Bishop, grab a lawn chair and stare at it. the truck will show its own personality if you look long enough. before you know it, you will be doing your own burnouts!

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
..........these trucks are simple to work on and they share many parts with up to 30 years of trucks from GM. They can be simple or complex depending on ability and budget. I would keep it and get it drivable.......they are cool trucks and still relatively cheap. It just doesnt get much better!!!!!!!!

Here are a few more to get you persuaded to keep yours. I have several others, but you get the idea.

Re: 1965 chevy swb sale or not to sale
OK, here are some pictures of different scheme styles on different late 50's early 60's trucks that could be used on this truck. Excuse the use of the "F" trucks
This is one is my favorite scheme: then this one: Last edited by Zumo; 02-06-2008 at 11:02 PM. |

Those are some cool F@rds... They aren't bowties, but I'm sure some of them are running SBC's anyway...
