Vintage Air - Bi-level heater w/ defrost

Has anyone installed Vintage Air's Bi-level heater w/ defrost part no. 50616-VUZ. This is a non-ac system that is 10" wide x 10.25" tall and 6" deep. I'm in the process of shaving my firewall, so I'm thinking of using this unit. Any feedback good or bad would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've never put in that particular kit but I have put in their Sure Fit and other universal Gen II systems.
Once the stock heater and blower are out of the way, there is a fare amount of space to work with.
If you need room behind your glove box Vintage Air's Sure Fit has a glove box mod to add room back there.
I'm sure they will sell you that item separately.

Is your truck heat only right now?

No, it's an A/C cab, but the previous owner removed most of the a/c components. I'm going to shave the firewall anyway and do not plan on running a/c, so that's what led me to the vintage air heater/defrost only system.

I see the 50616-VUZ is a single knob unit.
You wont be using your control panel at all.
That's cool though, you'll have another cubby hole to stash stuff in.

The only hassle I see is getting the defrost ducts put in place.
Universal is always universally fun.
