Auto tranny linkage help, PLEASE!!!
I switched from a manual to an auto trans. I took the pivot bracket off a 1968 c-10. I think the bracket off of this 2x4 might be different from a 4x4. my frame does not have the holes I need, do I need to drill 2 holes and get a different bracket? if so does someone have the bracket I need? I can do paypal or whatever you need, Thanx,Philip |

You should think about the linkage kit from bowtie overdrives.

Re: Auto tranny linkage help, PLEASE!!!
I'll try to remember to go look on my 4x Blazer and see what bracket it uses in the morning.

Re: Auto tranny linkage help, PLEASE!!!
Your engine must have a lot more torque than mine, 'cuz I have the above (put a 200-4r in it) and have no issues with it.

No, not a lot but it is noticeable. You can see the shifter move when under heavy load.

Re: Auto tranny linkage help, PLEASE!!!
Hey Dads 68 GMC,
Check with either board members teeitup or billsbowtie. Seems one of them had a large assortment of parts in a recent thread and I remember seeing that frame bracket.

Re: Auto tranny linkage help, PLEASE!!!
Your best bet will be to post a WTB thread on the parts board, please don't buy/sell anywhere else.
BTW here's a pic of what's on my Blazer so you'll know what to look for.
