Re: New 1973 Custom Deluxe Project.
Well we're back. Got in last night close to midnight. It was about 1300 miles round trip. She's a project! But we'll get her done....
It's got some cool stuff on it. A cool stance, Edelbrock intake, HEI, Hooker Headers, factory tachometer, good doors and good fenders ready to be swapped out. Glass is good, no rust on the cab floors... Got some bad things... it's been sitting for years without an air cleaner, the thermostat housing was taken off and left uncovered. I'm gonna have to take apart the top end and inspect and clean it. Little rust issue on the drivers side of the bed and I need to find a good hood... We took a lot of pics, but they are still in the camera. I will post them tomorrow... As for a build name... I'm not sure... Any ideas? Vegas was fun by the way, but I wish we had more time...

Re: New 1973 Custom Deluxe Project.
Good luck finding a true Cheyenne Super grill for it. The standard grill was black plastic painted silver, but the Cheyenne Super grill was chrome on some of it's surfaces. They seem really rare. All the 73-74 grills I've seen are the standard silver painted grill.
I used a have a 73/74 Cheyenne Super grill on a 78 that the previous owner had installed, but someone hit me head on and destroyed the truck...and the grill too. |

Re: New 1973 Custom Deluxe Project.
Wow. Didn't know about the different grille. I have a 73/74 grille coming that I bought from a member. What else is different on the Supers?

Re: New 1973 Custom Deluxe Project.
The dash bezel is pretty good. No cracks. Just needs to be freshened up a bit, and the gauge lens needs to be cleaned up.
