overhead console

I have a buddy who did an interesting mod for his truck ( although its a 1993 F250 four door) He took a dodge caravan overhead console out of a 91-95 model and installed it on his headliner. then he ran switches up to it and they operate his cab lights, fog lights , some neons under it and hes managed to get it so the compass and thermometer work. I thought it was cool and wondered if anyone here had done anything like that on our genre trucks and what did it come out looking like? pics would be nice too if ya have any

I found it loose at a picknpull. Something tells me its from an older Subaru. But, I'm not sure.

I wired it by snaking a wire thru a hole I cut back to the dome/courtesy light hot wire (Roof is double walled and has insulation in it.) Worked out OK. Not what I was initially looking for but, it works.
