69 factory short box

Ok My Question,
I have a 69 short wide bed with 54000 original miles it was equipped with a 3sp and a 307, radio delete very basic. I do have the protecto plate original sales ticket etc. This truck was bought at a local dealership with the chrome dealer sig thing on the cowel. This is a one owner title with me second. The cab is sound but needs the rockers and cab corners. I have done one side of the cab and am half way done on the other side. There is some upper damage to the upper fan area.
Now should I restore this truck to original:
Or use a very nice A/C cab that I have. I also have all the components to convert to a powerglid, power steering, and power brakes. Very nice driver!
Or will this truck be worth more origal?

Re: 69 factory short box

the bucks start rolling in for highly optioned shortbeds regardless of what it came with from the factory as long as it was done right, but i've also seen some average joe 6 bangers fetch some nice dough too.... so i think you should build your truck how you would like it to be, and drive it happily!
just my couple of pennys though.....

Re: 69 factory short box

Agreed! It seems you'll never hurt the value of these trucks adding factory options or even aftermarket A/C sytems, EFI, etc. To answer your question, it would sell for more money once finished having an auto tranny, pb, ps and A/C. There's a lot of people that see 3 pedals, and turn around and walk the other way.
