Removing rotor off a dana 44 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Help we cannot seem to get the rotor off the right side front. We removed the hub and so forht but cannot seem to pull it off. The front bearing and seals need replacing, fluid is leaking from the inside of the hub assembly. Anyone have words of advice or a schematic of it.

This is how I doit:
Remove tire
Remove Brake caliper, two bolts
Remove hub assy, outside screws, inside = outer ring & center snapring
Insert Wheelbearing socket to remove wheelbearing nut, then washer, then second nut.
Yank Hub assy off spindal with two hands
Clean & rebuild ...

You got to have the hub/wheelbearing socket or it's not coming off. The socket isn't expensive and well worth it. You don't want to try removing the nuts with a hammer and screwdriver. It will take forever to remove and ruin the nuts themselves.
