Hub Caps question
-
Can anybody tell me if any of these caps will fit our trucks? I'm pretty sure the small ones will. How about the full ones? Are they later? Thanks. LockDoc

Re: Hub Caps question
The big ones came on 67-72 pickups. And the small ones came on 73-87 pickups.

Re: Hub Caps question
the full covers are a mis match. The one with the blue bow tie is original to our trucks, the 3 yellow bow ties are 73 & up. Not sure when they quit that style cap. 76 or so I'm thinking.
All four of them will fit a 1/2 ton 15 inch wheel. The other ones, it looks like there are 3 1/2 ton, and 3 3/4 ton caps. The 1/2 ton ones will fit, the 3/4 ton ones will fit on the front wheels and may or may not fir the rear. I have dsiscovered that the dana hubs stick out more than the eaton hubs, and it is enough to keep those caps from fitting. All 6 of these ones are off mid 70's up till 87 on trucks, and possibly into the 90s on vans. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 03-06-2008 at 09:38 AM. |

Thanks for the info guys. The guy wants $15 for the four full ones and $20 for the six small ones. I guess I will let it slide.... LockDoc

Re: Hub Caps question
I'd jump ont eh 4 full covers
you can paint the bow tie blue and have some decent *desirable* caps... even if you are faking the funk on 75% of them. |

Re: Hub Caps question
LocDoc`s wheelcovers and hubcaps:
They`ll all fit.The wheel covers (blue or yellow bowtie) were used 69-75.The same goes for the dog dishes (not shown) that came on these trucks. The style hubcaps (dog dish) shown started in`76.Aren`t they all the same diameter? If so,they`re all 1/2t.My eyes could be decieving me,though.

Re: Hub Caps question
The lower left, and lower center... I swear they look bigger than the others, and the center one doesn't look to have the ribs on the sides of the center bulge. I may well be wrong... it is a very small photo. |
