Need a little help

Does anybody have some plane to build a sheet metal break? Or know where I could get some?

Thanks in advance

Re: Need a little help

Harbor Freight has some economical table top units.
What gauge metal you need to bend? Gage and Withs are the limiting factor in breaks.

Re: Need a little help

A buddy of mine drives an open wheel modified race car and we are looking to build a brake to use on the body panels. Some of his body panels are 60+ inches...Aluminum sheets (.040"). If we could get a couple of good pictures of some homemade ones I think we could go from there

.040 - no problem.
Go to Harbor Freight and look at the picture.

I have a home made 48" one. I should be able to take a couple of pictures later this afternoon. I'm supposed to be hanging wallpaper right now...

Here are some pictures of my brake. The main support is made from a section cut out of a truck frame. Let me know if you have any questions.

If anyone wants bigger pictures PM me your e-Mail address and I will e-Mail them to you.

Re: Need a little help

You might want to go to the Miller welding site. They have one on the plans page. Miller Motorsports.com
