Smile How many gallons is our gas tank.

I was wondering how many gallons of gas does our gas tanks hold that are behind the seat? I have a 72' GMC. Thank you.

The most I have ever put in there was 20 gallons.....so 21 sounds about right. (until the 20....the most had ever been 16.....so I figured 17....so who really knows!)

for some reason i thought my 71 only holds 14 gallons... ive never filled when it was bone dry though

I put 21.75 in one one time... and actually drove to the station. They are supposed to be aprox 21 gallons, and there are some (mostly 67/68) that were 18-ish.

I thought I read somewhere once that 67-68 were 18 gal. and 69-72 were 21. Of course, I can't find it now.

yep i think 67 tanks hold 18ish i put just over 17 in mine today and its full... for now
