sticky tires ,bop tranyif using auto or bell housing if using manual you will need exaust work, fuel lines and som wiring work and of course your moter mounts will need some mods. sounds like alot but not really that hard if your mechanicly inclined

Re: 350 OLDS in 71
Its a direct "weld in fit" I ran a 455 Olds in the early 90's, but the 350 will be the same fit on the bottom. If you already have a good chevy hydro, you can get an adaptor from TCI, or Tran dapt, to bolt the Olds to the trans. As far as mounts, I used the 5.7 deisel stands /mounts from a late 70's c 10(a little drilling/ welding involved). http://community.webshots.com/user/hotrodhorn there is a shot of the 455, but not too much on detail as far as mounts. any ?, I would be glad to try to answer........crazyL just a thought before you get started.....the small pattern chevy converter will not work with the Olds flexplate(balance weight on the flexplate is in the way).

Re: 350 OLDS in 71
Not sure on the starter location on the Olds 350. But the 455 starter is on the drivers side. Truck battery on the passenger side. I have ran a long cable across the front above the radiator, with the other truck wiring. Thinking of converting to a bed mount battery for weight transfer. Also had to notch the inside of the frame about an inch on both sides for the exhaust. The 350 may not require this. Don't know.
