Re: ebay parts...
I don't know the only reason that i see not to use them would be, why buy something that every parts store in town has in stock. but they have a 5 yrar warranty and i dont think the top of the line ones like Moog or TRW and Dana offer that so they must be pretty good i'd think.
The only down side to that warranty is you gotta pay to ship the parts back. But if ya need 'em now then i'd go local and if ya can wait buy 'em on ebay. I just replaced all the front end components on my '99 Tahoe about a year ago and i got everything local cuz i had to do it then cuz she's my DD so down time was a big factor and i used all TRW or Moog i don't remember but i think they only carry a 1yr Warranty. |

Re: ebay parts...
I second the motion to question the quality of these parts.
There is a reason why internet storefronts who incorporate "American" into their names neglect to disclose where their parts are manufactured. No way are these parts made anywhere near North America. Sure, most parts are now made overseas. But at least when you buy them over the counter, you get to pick and choose between Mexico and China. Given that option, I'd choose Mexico products every time. Red flag #1, from their website... "We are a repalcement parts store that sells curent parts at low prices" and "Standard Igntion". Red flag #2, from their ebay listing... "All parts are from quality worldwide suppliers". "Worldwide" is ebayspeak "whoever can build it cheapest" Red flag #3, their list of applications is sketchy, at best. A small amount of research would tell them exactly what these parts fit. There's no reason one should have to confirm their vehicle application to get the right part in this case. |

the only problem with me getting parts localy is that i have to find a parts store here that is willing to deal with parts for these trucks as theyre not common here. and if they can get the parts ill still have to wait for them to arrive just as long as if i brought them from summit or ebay or anywhere else online... |

Re: ebay parts...
Don't confuse "Parts America" with "Parts American". They are two entirely different entities. We had a Parts America in my town which was later renamed Advance Auto Parts. In that case, yes... I recommend the link that 87 Stepper suggested.
The following is "Parts American", which is merely an eBay storefront's brand name given to generic Chinese product line to make the customer feel better: http://partsamerican.com/ Last edited by Blackstone; 03-25-2008 at 09:10 PM. |

Re: ebay parts...
I wouldn't mess with these. Spend the extra coin and get some quality stuff from CPP. Their worth it.
