got a kool truck!!!
well i've had it for a few months but i guess i'll get to it for the summer. the truck is a 1972 chevy cheyenne 93k original miles, 402bb, 4 speed manual with ac, ps, heating, disc, and dual tanks that are all operational. i was thinking patina, new trim, sport rear bumper, low on 22's (something billet), 8 lugs are hard to find, but i'm more into shortbeds so we shall see.

Re: got a kool truck!!!
Good buy. What do you mean by "patina"?I assume that means leave it as it is.Maybe some used mouldings would fit in better with that look.

Re: got a kool truck!!!
69face. One thing you can do for a start is to get rid of that back bumper. That thing is L-O-N-G and HUGE!!! Try to find a Fleetside Bumper from Scrap/JunkYard or order one from LMC. That'll shorten things up and give it a better look. But you got a real nice truck that has lots of potential, fo' sure.

Re: got a kool truck!!!
well i get a set of 16" wheels for 50 bucks and sandblasted and painted them. i have to change them because the tires for 16.5" wheels are outrageous. here are pics

Re: got a kool truck!!!
So you know that the 16 and 16 1/2 rims look very similar, the only real difference is in the inside angle,
Nice looking truck to start with Have fun

Re: got a kool truck!!!
got the new wheels and tires on. i have to sandblast and clear the caps and i'll put them on later. i'm pretty satisfied with the fresh paint and better tire.

Re: got a kool truck!!!
Does the center hole fit snug around the hub, or is there a 1/8 inch or more gap?

Re: got a kool truck!!!
Great looking truck. I like the longbed though. It seems it would be a shame to cut such a good truck!
