What pulley does the PS pump run off?
When I bought my truck it had a power steering box but no PS pump. I added the pump today, the pump I put on came from a 71 pickup. What pulley does this run off? Crankshaft?

Re: What pulley does the PS pump run off?
True 'neff.
On my '69 SB, both the alternator an PS pump run across the water pump sheave. On my '72 BB, the alternator runs the water pump and the PS is just crankshaft to PS pump. Hope this helps a bit.

Re: What pulley does the PS pump run off?
My crankshaft pulley is only a one-groove. Does anyone have a picture of the pulley I need for my crankshaft?
Thanks! Shawn

Re: What pulley does the PS pump run off?
You need one of these like in the link below, its the big ugly orange castiron one one in the pic. Some are two groove, some are single, but the PS pump runs in the very forward pully groove. The single groove just has a space where the back groove is. This mounts on top of and inside of the stock steel crank pulley that is on there now.

Re: What pulley does the PS pump run off?
I've never seen one of those cast iron add-on pulley's. I have factory PS on my '67 and I just pulled off the pulley in the picture, when I did my serpentine belt swap this weekend.
