Brake Lock

Hello all
I just bought a summit brake lock. and want to install on my 1978 4x4 to use at the drag strip.I have to lines coming of the master cylinder.going to the proportioning valve.one line looks like 1/4 and the other 3/16.the 3/16 looks like the front disc brakes and the 1/4 go to the back.can I connect the Brake lock valve at the master cylinder ? on the 3/16 line? The Tec person at summit said I should take one line off at the proportioning valve going to the front brakes and put the brake valve in with only one side.I don't like the sound of only one wheel holding at the line.
has anyone done this I am sure there is ,Thanks

Re: Brake Lock

Im not sure I understand the whole 1 wheel thing. If the porportioning valve only has 2 lines coming out of it then if you put the line lock in one of the lines then youd be locking 2 brakes. Im not sure if yours is like mine but on mine the front brake line comes out of the porportioning valve and then runs down to the frame to a junction where the line tees into two lines, one for each wheel. As long as you put the line lock in between the porportioning valve and the tee then youd lock both front brakes.
