Re: Where to mount a fire extinguisher
Right hand cab corner where the jack originally was (unless you're lucky and the jack is still there)

Re: Where to mount a fire extinguisher
right next to the drivers side seat track// think about where it is the easiest place to get it in case of emergency//hidden in a cab corner in back of the seat isnt my idea of accessable neither is under the hood a good place as thats usually where the fire is// some guys mount on the passenger kickpanel or on the floor hump

Re: Where to mount a fire extinguisher
In an ideal situation it should be mounted where it can be reached from the drivers seat while wearing your seatbelt. I did have mine mounted to the drivers side of the seat but since this wouldn't allow the seat to be adjusted I moved it to the passenger side. No it's not as good, but better than not having one at all.

Sounds like everybody hates this location, but as long as you don't have a suspect electrical system, -- i don't see what the big deal is -- slide over and grab it. Its harder to get at the fire extinguisher in an airplane. Unless it is a competition (drag racing) oriented vehicle or a 4x4 ----- of course the best thing is not to have a fire in the first place, but you never know. The only way i can guarantee something will go wrong is to not be prepared for it ---

Re: Where to mount a fire extinguisher
Mounted mine by the driver seat side no problem with seat adjustment I'm the only driver! And I'd rather be able to draw my gun when I need it not have to hunt for or go get it! But a fire extinguisher is a very wise thing to have handy at all times, you never know when you will need it. And it isnt just for your saftey there are others out there that hav'nt a clue ya just might save their butt on occation.
