Re: Anyone been here
I went there about 4 years ago just to check it out. They have a pretty nice sized showroom with lots of parts. IIRC, at the time it seemed like they mostly carried parts for the older trucks. That may have changed by now though.
There's also Impala Bob's in Mesa. They don't have much of a store, just a big warehouse. I personally try to go w/board vendors as much as I can, so I've never bought from either place. Rick's Pickup Parts used to be in Mesa too, and he was a board vendor I believe. He quit the business or something b4 I started working on my truck. Too bad, b/c he was right around the corner from me!

Re: Anyone been here
Grumpy`s started out with 55-59s and has expanded, like Impala Bob starting with full-size Chevys.I got used body parts from him where the other Impala guys only acknowledged the `64-earlier cars.
Pretty much, when it comes to Classic truck merchants,it`s the one that`s nearest or board vendors for me.All I`ve heard about Grumpy`s from guys in the Phoenix area is he`s high.I don`t know, but I know he has competition down there.I guess alot depends on how they deal with you.

Re: Anyone been here
I have been there also. He has a nice collection of stuff and in staock. I thoughthe was a little higher on some things, but then again I was there and he had what I wanted, so the price was perfect.
There used to be another shop up on bell, between the freeway and 19th, on the south side of the road. He had some classic cars parked out front, but also dealt in parts for our trucks.

Re: Anyone been here
WOW, Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! I would rather support the vendors and fellow board members unless I really need something ASAP, then maybe I can try locally.

Re: Anyone been here
Ditto on what the others said, they seem to be high on the prices. You can save on shipping. It will offset the sales tax. There is also the "I want it now" factor.

Re: Anyone been here
Check out The Chrome Guy on 67th Avenue and Arrowhead Truck Parts, both in Glendale. The Chrome Guy bought out Rick's about 2 years ago. I bought alot of stuff from him. Also Arrowhead Truck Parts has a nice inventory.
I agree with the other guy about Grumpy's. They were not very happy to see ya when you walked in the door, but he has a nice Apache all fixed up.
