Bed Wood (Anything Different)

Has anyone tried using any different woods instead of pine or oak? If so can I get some pics. I would like to put something different in mine, I thought there was a thread awhile back on this. Thanks

I saw a guy that used bamboo and mahogany in strips, he alternated them. You can do anything you want, you are just limited by your creativity and skills

Try looking at maple, walnut or cherry. They also make good ingredients for a desert.

Cedar would work and there are some exotic woods from Africe that I have seen in other models. The only drawback I can think of is that most are hardwoods and difficult to machine. The other would be cost.A good place to look for Ideas would be one of the sites for wood to make custom one off Pens.
