Master Brake Cylinder

I'm having trouble getting the right master brake cylinder.
(It's leaking brake fluid between the cylinder and the booster)
Part stores can't seem to get me the right one.
What's so special about this type of cylinder? (I thought it was a fairly common one)
I've found these numbers on it: 5472003 and 332
Maybe one of you guys can help me out here?
(It's for a 1971 C/20 Longhorn)

Thanks in advance!

Cya,
Edmond

Looks like a standard 3/4 brake setup to me. Is it for a front disc brake truck or front drums? I got mine at NAPA.

Talking

I have had to buy that particular master cylinder by asking the parts store to look up one for a 73 truck. There seems to be someting wrong with the listings because we have had trouble with different stores in regards to master cylinders.

Good luck!

Exclamation

1973 and up? Untill which year? 1980?
(I've been looking in some catalogs and Delco-Moraine are listed for the years 71-80.) I'll check it out. Thanks guys.

Scottri : It's for front disc brakes. Going to NAPA is gonna be a bit difficult for me, I'm in the Netherlands.

The master cylinder dosen't have to look exactly alike to work right. I recently put a new one in my truck. The one they gave me at the parts store looked nothing like the one on my truck. The parts guy said that that was OK, and told me what to do.

Remove your old master cylinder first. When you have it removed, go the the back of it where the rod goes in, the rod that comes out of the brake booster. Stick a screwdriver in there and see how deep it it. Get the master cylinder you got from the parts store and do the same thing. If the depths are the same, they should work. Also make sure they mount to the booster in the same manner. You may have to bend the lines a small bit, but it will work just fine.
Good luck!

Looks like the on from the 71 3/4 Ihave. The 73 up are more square the 72 parts truck has that style also if you are bench bleeding, if you bottom the piston out you can tear seals out the first pump you do because they are dry just a thought

Speaking of master brake cylinders, Has anyone ever seen two single brake cylinders used on one vehicle? Is this stock or a mod someone did?

Thanks
