Looking for option code

Im looking for an option code for the rear axle of my jimmy.
code 4G80AM
says its a posi, would like to know what kind.

That`s a G80,ignore the other numers.It`s a limited slip or posi.Not the No-Spin.It`s called the Power-Loc.

Yeah,I think so.It`s the factory posi you always hear about.My`72 Sierra has one.I like it,you don`t know it`s there but it`ll grip when needed.It`s not like a true off road design,but better than open diff.

G80, if it is in a 12 bolt is an Eaton clutch type posi.
If it is in a corp. HO52/HO72, it is a Detroit Locker/No-Spin.
If it is in a Dana 60 it is a Dana Powerlock clutch type posi.
