Seats from an 82 Suburban

I have an 82 Suburban that is now a parts vehicle. I'm wanting to pull the bench seats out of it and use them in my 67 Suburban. Has anyone done this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Seats from an 82 Suburban

I can't answer your case directly, however I have installed leather seats out of a '04 Tahoe in my '71. THe holes don't line up but the floor is fine for the most part. I had to notch the floorboards to allow the buckets to slide all the way back. This was on the inside, so it may not be a problem for you. I drilled the holes and made backing plates for under the floorboards to distribute the load.

Re: Seats from an 82 Suburban

Thanks! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to go in to any detail in my first post. I was worried about them being too wide. Right now the 82 is acting as a storage unit and I can't get in there with a tape measure. I've been really thinking about getting my 67 going and all it has is a front seat. I did find a correct back seat out of a wrecking yard and I may use that....I just don't know right now.

Thanks for the info.
