First day home!
Because I'm so bored, here is some pics of my blazer the day I bought it. I was gathering parts for my 71 k10 when my dad mentioned this blazer he had looked at, he said I should go see it. It just so happened my friend was looking for a truck, so I worked a deal to sell my 71 k10 If I could get this blazer.
The blazer had been sitting at a service/gas station for sale for well over a year when I chose to buy it. It had been taken to this service station all it's life for whatever work it needed, and when the owner died, the son took it to them to sell. I like to think the reason it didn't sell was because of all the wierd crap that was added to it. I took it home and tore off all the wierd junk the same day, swapped my wheels and tires onto it, and the last pics is how it looked the same day I got it. |

Re: First day home!
I was told that the guy that bought it used it for hunting trips. He put the wood down because he always had his dogs in the back, not sure how the rear panels survived. The rear seat looks almost like new because it was never in there.
When I bought it they said they would call if they found any other parts for it; the guys garage was just packed full of crap, and they had to dig for a while just to find the rear seat. They called me a few weaks later and said they had the original lock-outs for me. When I stopped in to get them I drew them a picture of the spare tire holder, and they said they would try to find it. About two months later I have a message to stop down. They had the carrier with the bolt to hold the tire on, and it was in like new condition. I'm still waiting for the call when they have a window sticker for me and old pics for me. |

Re: First day home!
Thats a sweet K5. Even with the oddities that were on it. I'd go ahead and take off that 3rd brake light. If anything go to your local parts house and pick up some small rubber plugs to fill the holes.

Re: First day home!
I think if I took the 3rd break light off it would turn into a real big job.

Re: First day home!
Do you mind sharing a ballpark price you paid, not to be nosey but curious what that could've cost? I know what I would have paid for it, just curious since it is so sweet?
