Help 700R4 Questions Pressure switch

I went to wire this tranny up and where the 4th gear pressure switch goes someone had installed a brass plug. Does anyone know why they would have done this?? Is it still okay to wire up?? I took some pics and will post...

Ok Bowtie Overdrives said they did this to eliminate the lock up feature of the tranny...why would you want to do that??
