well i havent been around here much (if it all) lately, but i finally found the time to work on the old truck. this will be my slow moving build page. some history of what it started out as and what it is now

i have only had the parts for 3-4 years to do this but i now have a little bit of free time and a place to do it. its nice to make progress every once in a while.

i built these a few months ago and they are finished i just dont have any finished pictures of them. i put alpine type r components in them and powered them with a 2 channel amp. sounds darn good

cool stuff.. good job, man I see alot of sanding has gone into those kicks.. are you going to paint them to match the truck or cover in fabric?

right now they are a gloss black but in the future (way future) when i do the interior i would like to do gray leather and wrap them as well

14" from spindle to fender lip? that will look good with a 255/70-15. but I think I would throw a set of 2" spindles at it. just to get the ride height kool while having good ride/geometry.
that engine bay looks sweet as well

the main goal is the disc brake swap. i havent lowered the back at all yet so if the front is up a bit high that is just fine with me. i am running 275/60/15 on all four corners. after i tackle the back i will look into drop spindles up front

granted that is tire on the inner fender well and it would be ripping the brake line out. do they make longer brake lines for going that low? that upper ball joint angle is nasty sitting like that

well today consisted of new brake lines from inline tube. i replaced all the front tube and the rear tube from the prop valve back to the flexible line conecting to the axel. i will save those tubes for another day. also i mounted my booster and ran the vacuum line and put the new MC on. i will be taking the factory prop valve out and putting a SSBC adjustible in its place

well after having issues with the rotors (which ECE took care of no problem) and a ball joint issue, and working 8 weeks of swing shift, this project is done. i could go lower but i would have to remove the inner fenders and i dont want to do that

well the fender lip started out at 33 inches off the ground, and i can get it down to 23-24 inches, so 9-10 inch drop
