Does anyone run RE-8 Slam bags in the front?? will they fit??
I am running a BBC and want to use re-8's in the front for the added support.. sure the 7's are good for 2600lbs or something, but if you take a corner quick i am sure there is more weight on it then that, and on top of that, i don't want a bag to go doing a fairly hard turn - hitting a bump or something..
anyway, will they fit (without a bunch of rubbing) if i use a 1" or 1.5" cup?? or am i dreaming? if not i will stick with 7's..

Re: Does anyone run RE-8 Slam bags in the front?? will they fit??
The RE8 is just a larger bag (8" vs. the RE7 7") I don't think it supports more weight (but I could be wrong). You might want to step up to an HE, but a big block is only about 200 pounds heavier, if even that much.
<edit> My bad, the RE8 are good for another 450 pounds. The HE doesn't improve on that either, that seems strange to me. The Max diameter is only .75", but it might be close. Still, 2,262 per bag is a lot on the RE7's. Load balanced you are looking at 4524 pounds. I don't think your front end will be that heavy. The HE has I higher PSI rating, but the load rating is the same, so I don't think there is a benefit to using them.

I think the heads alone must be 100 lbs heavier... (mind you i'm running aluminums), but still.
can the HE's be run single port?.. do i just block off the one port?

I took my Re-8s an exchanged them for 7s. wasn't happy with the clearance of the 8's.
