WIW - 71 C-10 250ci 4spd short step
I have to sell my project truck and i have no idea what a reasonable asking price is. I will probably be putting an ad up on this sites for sale section along with craigslist, and maybe some local free papers. I prefer not to seperate it and the parts for it. Pictures of it can be seen on my old build post http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=263324 Any suggestions will help, Thanks.
I started writing the ad already and this is what I have got: 1971 Chevrolet C-10 Shortbed Stepside with a 250ci straight 6 and 4 speed on the floor transmission. Engine runs good, transmission does grind some gears, but all the gears work. I was driving this occasionally back and forth to work, till I found out that the rear trailing arm crossmember is cracked and probably not so safe to drive on, which I am including. It does have rust in the typical rocker/floor area and some surface body rust. I have over $2000 of brand new parts to fix this truck up that will come with it. I already installed new front pads, rotors and calipers. And converted from manual to power brakes. It has a new windshield. Some of the other parts I have are: Outer rocker panels Inner rocker panels Front floor pans R/F Cab support 10 piece weather strip kit Classic Performance Products drop center trailing arm cross member # 6372LDL Classic Performance Products deluxe adjustable rear track arm kit # 6572DTBK Classic Performance Products rear shock relocator kit # 6372SRK Classic Performance Products trailing arm reinforcement kit # 6072TARK Air Ride Technologies CoolRide rear air suspension kit with shocks # ARR21800

Re: WIW - 71 C-10 250ci 4spd short step
In my opinion you will be much better off by getting it roadworthy and selling the truck and parts seperately. You might find someone that wants everything, but you narrow the market by combining everything in my opinion. My guess is around $1500 without the parts.???
