Cluster question....maybe a light question?

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=121515

I got that link from the FAQ section, the top fuse that says "Cluster Feed" is that the fuse for the dash lights? Is there a fuse for the dash lights? I drove around for about 2o minutes last night before I realized they dont work...the tach dont work either. Im just tired of working on this thing, and Im hoping that little fuse would solve ALL my problems.

check your grounds on the top of both sides on the printed circuit, is the rest of the gauges working properly?

Re: Cluster question....maybe a light question?

The good news;
There is a fuse that controls it, but it also runs the dome light, parking lights, and brake lights. So if your dash lights went out, you need to check to see if your brake lights work.
The bad news;
There's a reason the fuse blew up... now you get to find the reason. (many many times the problem is behind the rear bumper where the harness has been spliced many times over the years for traler plugs)
The cluster feed is a terminal that is controlled by the rheostat... say you want to mount a tach, you plug the light wire into that, and it turns on and off, and dims, with the dash lights.

Why are the talilights connected to the dash? The wires on the back of my truck are a mess and my dash lights don't work either - except my dome light and brake lights do work.
