Factory wheel for a 72 Blazer

I have a set of factory 6 bolt rims from a 70 2wd Pickup, will they work on a 4x4 Blazer.

And....

Will 31 x10.5 tires fit on these rims without rubbing.

Thanks

Re: Factory wheel for a 72 Blazer

I believe drum and disc brake wheels are different from factory.

Hmm good point. I was just worried about the hub opening in the front.

The 2wd rims I've seen are 5.5 inches wide. A 31x10.50R15 needs at least a 7 inch wide wheel:

Re: Factory wheel for a 72 Blazer

These are the wheels I have now, not how sure how wide they are. I would just rather get rid of these and get stock ones. I thought I saw somewhere 6" wheels would work with 31x10.5 but I guess that chart proves me wrong. Does this mean I have to get new rubber in order to run stock wheels? Another thing I am not a fan of with the current wheels is the crap spray up the side of the truck from them.

Re: Factory wheel for a 72 Blazer

FYI, the chart I posted above is from BF Goodrich.

The mid '70s to mid '80s GM 4x4 trucks had 6" wide wheels, but this still isn't wide enough for a 31x10.50R15.

You could go with 7" or 8" GM rally wheels or styled wheels (white spokes) to give a "factory look" (not original for our trucks but nice looking). I suppose you could even run full factory wheel covers on them if you wanted.

One of the board members here I believe has 8" plain steel wheels, but I've never seen a set of these in person.
