heater/ vacuum line problems
Okay, here goes- from as far back as i can remember the heater has always blown hot air out of the vents, it did have AC at one time but i pulled the compressor out- even when the heater is off. So i started messin' around and found that there is no vacuum signal to the heater hose valve on the fenderwell under the hood. The vacuum line is there but no vacuum- I do have vacuum from the carb- and that line goes in to the passenger compartment- but where does it go from there?? And secondly the center vent on the dash- the vent is metal but the housing is plastic- when the vent gets hot it melts the housing and now the vent won't stay open- do they make a metal housing?? THANKS

Vacuum problem
I was having a problem and found a disconnected line.
Hidden behind the right bank of the engine. Was a T adapter in the line. The hose split and came off. Good Luck
