Re: windshield bracket??

never heard of such a thing only thing that could be different is some gaskets have a rubber strip in it others have a silver strip never heard of any kind of bracket unless like Ojoe said for the rearview mirror

Re: windshield bracket??

I second Bob's thought, maybe talking about where the "snap" for the antenna wire attaches at the center of the bottom.

Ok first of all I am not talking about an antenna duh I aint that stupid. Some windshields have little metal bracketts or clips in the window frame. they are sometimes called clips I was just merely wondering if mine had them. I have not invented a name for anything.

Re: windshield bracket??

no, your windshield does not have the clips. that is for glue in windshields ,that require some kind of trim to be snapped onto the clips. 73-87 trucks have a rubber gasket that the windshield sits in.

This is the internet and all so things get lost in translation.
With that said you might want to chill out a little. I don't think he was accussing YOU of anything. I took it as he was referring to "the guy" that asked you if it had it. You would think a "professional" (I guess I am assuming you were talking to a glass shop?) would have used a more official name for the part?

I would have suggested the antenna thing too with the information provided if it hadn't already been mentioned.
Just to clarify, you are aware that some trucks have an antenna built into the windshield? These windshields have two what I would call "prongs" on the center of the bottom edge.
