Re: Got rear bagged this morning!

I put the cups in so I wouldnt have to drill into the frame. Im gonna start on front tonight and see how far I get. I gonna see how low front goes and may have to get rid of cups, but was worth a shot. I still gotta get rid of the rear factory bumpstops also. I havnt got any fittings yet. Cant find any in town except for plastic push to connect and compression, wanted the all brass push to connect, so I may have to order some.

Re: Got rear bagged this morning!

why do you need a c-notch? doesn't look like it will touch the frame, just curious

Re: Got rear bagged this morning!

axle is resting on bumpstops now, gonna bag the front and if its alot lower in the front Im gonna c-notch maybe get rid of the upper cup. I want to get front and rear as low as possible using stock a-arms and trailing arms.

Re: Got rear bagged this morning!

I'll be interested to see how all this works out. I'm doing 20's on my 70 and i'm wanting the same thing as you...as low as possible w/out changing out the a-arms or trailing arms.

Have you purchased an adjustable panhard bar and shock relocators? I've been told anything over 4" drop needs that and i'm assuming you'll be driving with it at like a 5 or 6" drop with the bags.

Re: Got rear bagged this morning!

Im planning on putting 20"chrome IROC wheels on it later. I havnt got a bar yet, I may try to make one or modify the one I got. Im in machine shop class in vocational school, so I may do one on the cnc lathe. I had 5" drop coils on the rear with the factory bar, but never checked the alignment cause I never have drove it on the road. Currently im trying to get the front bump stop mounts off the a-arms, came inside for a break. Id like to get the truck drivable on and off trailer and carry to GoodGuys show in Nashville.
