'97 to '70 Disk Brake swap

After searching through many disk brake conversion threads on this boards and seeing alot of different ways to convert to disk brakes (all depending on budget, haha!) I wanted to ask a question and see if anybody might have some information or experience.

I have a 1997 Chevy 1500 donor truck with disks in the front and drums in the back. Would an easy 4 wheel disk conversion be made of using the '97 spindle/disk/caliper assembly and converting the '97 axle to disk and swapping them over to my '70? Does anyone know if the '97 spindle will fit or what would be needed to make it fit?

Is it any easier/cheaper to convert the '97 5-lug truck axle to disk than it is to convert the '70 6-lug axle to disk?

If this isn't a sound idea I might follow the route NWD02 described to upgrade to 71-72 disks and calipers and fork out the cash to match the rear...

Thanks!
