WIW 69 lwb leaf spring truck

I am in the process of getting a 69 long wheelbase 2wd parts truck. It has original leaf springs in the back and I haven’t seen all that many of these trucks around. I didn’t know if the frame or rolling chassis is worth anything more than a regular coil spring truck or if it is just worth its weight in scrap. In addition, it has a decent set of original wheels/hubcaps (in the cab) and a th400 with non-tilt column that I might also sell. Any idea what I can get for this stuff around Texas? Thanks!

hmm, not sure, but I may be interested in the frame itself, minus all running gear.

I plan on keeping the engine, trans, and rear axle so when it comes time to get rid of it there will probably be just a frame and maybe the front suspension and rear leaf springs. Are the leaf spring frames hard to come by/desireable in any way??? I personally haven't seen that many of them but that doesn't mean much. Would I be insane to try to get $150 dollars for it?

you could make a great trailer out of the spring frame and bed. Some have said that the leaf spring rear ends can be loaded down with an amazing amount of weight, overloaded, and still perform very well.

The trailer route is what I think I.m going to do with the 67 GMC I have.

value wise, i think $150.00 isn't out of line to the right person. finding the right person might not be easy though. i agree, make a trailer out of it, i built mine from a 72 GMC longbed with 3/4 ton springs and a gutted HO52.

Sorry, I don't have internet at the house just yet. AT&T messed up again. Anyhow, I am interested in the frame only. I wouldn't need the front suspension, the leaf springs, rear axle, engine, or tranny, just the bare frame. I'd be willing to give $75 for the bare frame, but that would be up to you. Would you happen to have the title for the frame, and/or the VIN plate that goes with it?
