Thought I'd say Hi!
Hi everyone. I have been checking out this site for the last week or so, and I am so impressed with the extensive knowledge and camaraderie I have seen so far. My name is Richard and I live in the central California valley in the town of Hughson. I teach 5th grade and am just getting ready to get out for the summer. I am currently building a 1970 Chevy Longhorn from nearly the frame up. Before this truck, I had a 1969 Chevy C10 that I had restored then it was stolen. Yes, I was heartbroken. No, it was not fully insured. Bad me. Anyhow, jumping back in the saddle, I figured I get another truck and build it. While I am highly motivated right now, my wife and I are expecting our first baby this July--Logan Michael Smith. Yes, the Longhorn will eventually be his. I have stockpiled all the needed parts to make this a fully loaded truck including AM/FM, factory air, trim, bucket seats, ect..
What I was lacking was a community of similar folks who share my passion for Chevy/GMC trucks. I can't wait to begin. |

Re: Thought I'd say Hi!
Thanks for the friendly reception everyone! I'll start posting some pictures of my restoration progress as soon as school is out this week. I also need to check out the Longhorn thread...it looks fun. You know, after all the years of surfing the net, one would have thought that I would have come across you all sooner!?
Talk to you later. |
