Help me choose new tail lights

I have a 69' SWB Stepside and the PO decided to put 4" holes in the fenders and installed trailer lights. WTF! I have the original Tail and B/U Light assemblies with lenses and really like the stock look but now I am curious.

I could weld a patch in the hole to close it and go with the stocks OR find a light to put in the hole (other than trailer lights) I'm open to any ideas. Pics would help. Here's what it looks like now. Sorry about the bad pic, It's a Blah day in Florida.

Here's another picture of only 1 side but it's a little clearer.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Nate, my thoughts exactly! When I first seen it I thought, WTF. I just contacted a local sheet metal shop, they said if I trace it - they''ll cut 2 pcs for about $10.00.

Re: Help me choose new tail lights

Now you can't get a better deal than that, unless if you don't know how to weld, like me!

One good thing about shotty work.... you can always get the price a little cheaper!

Well Nate, I'm gonna stick with the stock set-up. I just came back from the local sheet metal shop and the machinist cut 2 pieces on the spot. It was pretty neat. Huge CNC machine - punched the size of the circle in the computer - hit enter and WHA-LA 2-16 gauge perfect circles. $10 bucks and 5 minutes later I was om my way. WOW, what an awesome machine.

I'm gonna tell my wife I want one for Father's Day. Can't wait for her answer. She'll ask me what I'm smoking

Well I'm glad to hear that they were able to cut out the pieces you needed. CNC machines would make a nice set up for any shop or garage. So how did the wife take your request... ???

Post some pics after you get them welded up.

Re: Help me choose new tail lights

Check this site out. You can get them in a few styles. They have a 4" round that might work for your existing holes.

They also have a style that seats in a full rubber grommet.

LED - with stop, tail & back up and they are very bright!

We have some on display in our parts dept. I've been trying to figure out where i can use a set.
