Re: door hinges??

If you open the door and gently move it up and down you can see if the play is in the hinge and pin itself or if you just need to re-adjust your doors through the hinge bolts. I have had my doors on and off quite a bit, and they are a pain to get lined up rite.

Re: door hinges??

I am going to hazard a guess that it is the hinge pins that should be replaced, not the hinges. At least, they're cheaper and may be all you need to do. If not, you'll know what to do.

Re: door hinges??

Advance Auto & Auto Zone & others, have door hinge kits for around $10. Also, you can get the hinge bushings from GM dealers.

I didn't realize I could get these locally at the parts stores. I thought I had to go to the dealer.

Re: door hinges??

If there's a red help section the P/N is 38400. You'll need 4. For example:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...0&a=FR42-38400

BTW: The old pins can be pretty easy, or really hard to get out.
