Re: dzus fasteners
They are easy to install. That being said, you need to use quite a few to hold the hood down. I have pics of where mine failed and caused the hood to go through the windshield at 120 MPH.
The key is the front of the hood. The wind really catches it and lifts. I had the front of my hood "hook" on two tabs on the front and 6 dzus fastners to hold down the sides. If worked great until a friend was helping me put the hood on and didn't hook the front. Now I have 10 dzus fastners and 2 hood pins. works well.

I'm not racing right now...but still working too hard.
With all of the fires and the dam heat here in No California it's tuff.

Re: dzus fasteners
Guy's I've been sick for a while now. The new meds I'm on take some getting used to. It makes me dizzy so I can't race. I basically am just getting ready for Pinks in Sonoma.
If I pull the truck off the trailer I'll get some fresh pics and put together a post. I was going to pull it off this weekend, but we have wild fires all around us. So I need to have it ready to haul azz if needed.
