Well, maybe that was a little harsh. Don’t mess up the truck. What did the truck do?

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I bought 4 items from him on eBay. He delivered 3. The sad thing is he sent the expensive ones and hung me out on a $7.50 glove box liner. He strung me along until it was too late for Pay Pal or eBay to do anything. When I posted negitive feedback he retailitated and posted negitve feedback for me. The tracking number in his feedback does not show up in the USPS system. He was using L. Willis on his e-mails to me. His address is Lone Oak.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I almost bought a tach dash from him yesterday out at the lagrave swapmeet, 350 not a bad price. but the way he tried to sell it to me is what rubbed me the wrong way. he had price list and catalogs of other vendors and basically slammed them while trying to make himself look good. Luckily one of the board members that happens to have my phone number saw me standing there talking to him and called me to say GET AWAY FROM HIM! so I did no questions asked, then I read this post and I am so glad I did. some poor guy bought a chromed dash from him while I was there and it was horribly plated.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I dealt with this guy a year ago. My 1st several purchases through his Ebay store using Paypal were satisfactory. He delivered what he promised in a reasonable time frame.

Then......

I called him and ordered a complete emergency brake setup for my 69 SWB fleetside (The PO had ditched everything). After explaining that I needed (and I quote) "everything in the E-brake system between my left foot and the cables that attach to the backing plates", James said "I know just what you need". We agreed on a reasonable price and I paid him via an itemized Paypal invoice. What he sent me was a bunch of brackets and hooks but no E-brake foot assembly. I called him directly and complained. He sent another delivery after a week or so, which also contained the wrong parts. Finally, after a third phone call to express my disappointment over his carelessness, he got belligerant. I escalated by posting bad ebay feedback plus I sent copies of my documentation to Ebay/Paypal.

I called an alternate supplier in the Carolinas. With a single phone call, He sent me exactly the part I needed in less than a week.

I swore to myself I'd never use James's products or services again. The posts above and his banning from this website don't surprise me at all.

Maybe he should move to Mexico.

Bought clear lenses from him took 23 days to get them. I had to turn him in to paypal and e-bay. Gave him a negative on e-bay so he gave me one said I was an a_ _ then e-mailed me to see if I wanted to buy something else. But lo and behold he`s back on e-bay with that cheesy chrome.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

He was at a local swap meet today, A couple guys were looking at his guage set ups, he walked 10' away for just a second to grab a part. I told them the quick and ugly about him. When he walked back over they were gone. I hung around a little while and when he gave a price to someone I would butt in and ask questions about different repop companies, some good some not so good...after a while he asked if I was gonna buy anything? I said no, read too much bad stuff about ya. I have just been here telling customers you sell junk on ebay and the swap meets every time you turn your back. He got a puzzled look on his face and I smiled and walked away. Here's to u Mr. B!

Very interesting Fred. The only link that worked for me was the Tri star one. I think he has more than 1 new e-bay ID since I saw a auction from the same town as his trailer place, Terrell, TX, It was for parts for a 67-72 truck and it looked strangely like his old descriptions. It seems that he has split himself into two! Too bad he has to go to such extremes just too mess with people.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I see now that it is the same guy. Here is my question and his answer about an add on Craigslist:

"What is your name? There is a guy that I have been advised not to deal with. I need 67-72 parts quite often but if you are him, I don’t need them that bad.

if your from the message board ,go tell them i sold parts to 6 of the members this past weekend at pate ,if you want the best price on new parts fine, if you dont then move along"

I decided to "move along"

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

funny how small this world is. i got a phone call from a guy that owns a bar and wanted me to run it i currently work in a shop from 7-7 and thought about a change for a little more money.
well this guy AL and i met over coffee and he asked me the usual questions and when he asked me what i did now i told him about working at a shop but that i have a food and beverage background his eyes opened wide and he said to me " so you know cars do you know anything about 67-72 trucks? and maybe some older ones" and so i said YEAH i know a lot about them.... which is only a small white lie i figued heck i can get the answer for any question that he may have from this site.
well he says to that he is in the process of buying a business that is internet based and drop ships parts all over the country and is doing big numbers. the owner is only selling because his trailer business is doing so well that he needs to focus on that. but the trailer business is for sale too for the right price?
well AL aint no fool cause that comment raised the eyebrow and then when AL's attorney asked for financial statements JAmes showed him a box with a bunch of invoices and said they was all he had. bunch of email Ebay invoices but no real proof of taxes paid or revenue so if you have a business you no he probably isnt paying his taxes if he has no paper trail.
well I whiped out the laptop and fired up this site and showed him this exact post. he about fell out his chair! he never mentioned the guys name to me but when he read it here on this site he turned beat red......he was in shock got on the phone to his attorney and told him how to get to this site. I couldnt email him a link cause my laptop is not set up to an outlook account so i could not send it to him.
he told me he went out to lone oak and toured the place and that he had a young lady working at a desk "INCHARGE of the internet, ebay and CL sales. and response. i guess she is the one opening accounts in her name.

well AL did not buy the business and wants to open a internet business selling parts for our trucks new and used. but imagine the poor fool that does buy this business. it is destined for failure even if it is a stand up guy that buys it with good intentions. the high quality plating is no longer done in house if he did split with his brother.
