I'm Alarmed!
I got an alarm installed today which I would have done myself, except my dad gave me some money for it for my upcoming birthday. It chirps and beeps and makes all sorts of annoying noises so would be burglars will have an earful. Anywho, I was just excited that I don't have to worry so much about those damn asshats breaking into my truck anymore. If I hear that alarm at night they better be ready for some !

Re: I'm Alarmed!
Here's another idea and a new product. I'm considering it since I drive my truck quite a bit. My truck is garaged at night so it's theft from parking lots etc. that worries me most.

Heck ya man hope it works good for you! They broke into my everyday driver stole stereo and all sorts of goodies. I have no idea how they got in because the alarm automatically sets itself after a min if i dont set it...
Ya it wasn't a good day around this neighborhood that day |

Re: I'm Alarmed!
Good news on the new alarm system - I’m going to do the same, after putting $3k into my rig between now and the end of August - to get it back on the street again, after being ripped off in February.
Some guy down at the ‘Donut Derelicts’ here in Huntington on Saturday mornings is selling a conversion kit for your lighter that has a switch in it that attaches to the back somehow and kills the hot line to your HEI distributor when it’s pulled out. To run, you just push your lighter in (it’s no longer functional, of course) and start the truck. I’m going to pick one up if I can find him again. Mac

Re: I'm Alarmed!
Ya thats a good idea, and cool trick! A friend of mine used his high/low beam switch on the floor as his kill switch,(switch on column now) you can just step on it with someone in the truck and they have no clue what you did.
