Automatic floor shifters
Hi , just bought a used b&m z-gate shifter off ebay. Im thinking of making some kind of platform to raise it up about 6" , so i dont have to reach down to use it. Just wondering if any one on here is using a floor shifter , id like to see some pics.

Re: Automatic floor shifters
I have a B&M Light TrucK Megashifter in my '86. The fit is perfect. What makes it a truck shifter is the base it comes with, So raising yours on some sort of mount should be fine. Sorry no pic.

Re: Automatic floor shifters
most are labeled truck shifters cuz the shifter "shaft" is raised not the base. the shifter will still bolt directly to the floor, just has a taller stance

Re: Automatic floor shifters
Here's the B&M truck shifter installed in a member's truck
I was looking through the links for other shifters installed in consoles, but didn't find what i was looking for. But you could always build a wood console and cover it in fabric/matching seat material or metal and paint it and install the shifter in that. Last edited by VA72C10; 07-19-2008 at 01:09 AM. |
