Anybody going to Carlisle PA truck show Aug 8/9/10 have an 8 foot bed they want to sell? Will consider fleet or stepside, with or without tailgate. Need only be driver/work truck in condition, just needs to have solid cross sills and not a lot of rot. Dents and dings preferred

not that i know of . i would like to come and check it out never been to that one before. but i still have no way of hauling it.

Ok. 400 miles is a bit out of the way to go after that bed even though it is in the price range and condition desired. I'll see what else materializes...who knows, maybe someone near you may be going and can haul for a fee.

i know we are a few thousand miles out of the way but if anyone from the west coast is heading back that way, beds like you described can be had for next to nothing out here. Bill over at vintage chevy is using his less than perfect longbeds to haul scrap metal-- he puts an empty bed on top of his one ton flatbed, loads it with junk metal and hauls the whole thing to the scrapper, the bed stays for scrap too.

back when i used to part 67-72s regularly, we didn't have enough room for all the longbed boxes so we gave the excess to a fabricator/welding shop and he turned them into trailers. we never gave any thought to "rust belt" truck owners.

Maybe I'm dumb and the only fool that still sees a 67-72 as a work truck and dents = utilitarian beauty. FYI, we're trying to bring another 3/4 ton 4x4 plow truck back from the dead, hence the need for the bed.

I have an 8 foot bed with a dented but working tailgate i am selling. I am in Richmond, VA, so it's a ways out of the way also, but i'm only asking $200 OBO with the gate.
